HAND-MADE LIMITED EDITION PEDALS
SNAZZY FX NEIGHBORHOOD (w/EXP) 2016 HAND-MADE LIMITED EDITION
・Here is your special chance to score an one of a kind Noise Pedal "Neighborhood" from SNAZZY FX, hand made by Dan Snazalle of SNAZZY FX!!! Don't miss this rare chance!
・sometimes Snazzy feels like taking time out to make a few hand-made , one of a kind pedals. internally these pedals still exhibit the same high quality electronics you would expect from snazzy fx but they are smaller, pedalboard friendly and each one is individually painted and signed.
for some people these pedals also mean the chance to get a pedal many months before it is available in larger numbers as Snazzy only makes 5-15 of each.
This box allows a range of sounds and can be interfaced with in a few different ways...
・Expression pedal back is the BOTTOM LEFT JACK
・input jack is on the right , output is top left
・THE INTERNAL WIRING, including the GREEN ANTENNA WIRE is by design !
It all helps to pick up noise !!!
1. always make sure to use a 2.1mm CENTER NEGATIVE BOSS STYLE 9v adapter
2. this box can exhibit large jumps in volume when switching from NOISE MODE into OSC mode ! travel at your own risk and make sure to familiarize yourself with controls before making your house/head explode
3. TOUCH IT !!
This box uses the concept of body capacitance to allow sensitivity not only to your instrument /pickups BUT also to your body . one experiment to try is REMOVING the TUNE KNOB and replacing it with a solid metal knob OR no knob at all . The body's fields will then be in constant touch with the box whenever you touch tune !
However even without a metal knob, touching the box ANYWHERE has an impact on the "tuning " .
4. guitar sens
This box is very very responsive to your tone knob, pickup and volume knob
When in noise mode , you can quite easily "scan through " different frequencies of noise by turning your volume knob down and up .
5. the left most switch is the TEXTURE switch . each mode has its own characteristics which you will find
6, THE OSC/Noise switch selects TWO very DIFFERENT MODES OF OPERATION
A: in Osc mode , the incoming signal works with an oscillator.
This oscillator allows for POLYPHONIC tracking but it is highly unstable (and because of that it is very "playable " ....little changes in playing allow different results . try the texture switch for different results
AND experiment with putting a distortion /OD/boost BEFORE the box .
the tuning knob is used clockwise .
noise starts at the leftmost and then the pitch of the OSc goes down . volume knob also effects this mode (please remember this mode can get LOUD !) as does the texture switch B.
The noise mode is quite literally a way to explore noise , static , interference , etc within the confines of a guitar (or other ) signal
In this mode, best results are found within the 2 o clock to 3 o clock region . (The tune knob works counter clockwise in this mode )
KEEP IN MIND
In the noise mode , the box is very very sensitive to EVERY LINK IN THE CHAIN, THE VOLUME KNOB, the guitars volume and tone , the amp or mixing desk or next pedals IMPEDANCE, etc .
In other words , THE OUTPUT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS NOT BUFFERED
this is to allow mingling with the neighbors so to speak
So be aware of what comes after the box and play around with that . Trying longer cables , different amps, etc
NOTE: this box can and should make all manner of noises WITH NOTHING PLUGGED INTO THE INPUT!
It's actually highly useful with nothing but a delay pedal and a boost after the box ...tune in noise , use it as an oscillator source , etc
Use your hands to alter the noise or frequency .
This pedal uses a true bypass switching scheme
