Product Overview
Triggerpad is a dynamic trigger/gate sequencer in eurorack format on only 6hp. A USB MIDI controller with an 8×8 grid like Launchpad or APC is used to display and edit the patterns (see the list of compatible controllers). The user experience is tailored to live performance and detailed composition: dial in simple rhythms or complex polyrhythms, retrigger at audio rate, create dynamic percussions with velocity triggers or use longer pulses to create quantised staircase modulations.
By using USB MIDI controllers that you might already have and maybe not use anymore, we avoid producing more plastic. Give your old gear a second life!
- 8 channels (start/stop individually)
- 1 to 64 steps pattern length (per channel)
- 8 substeps per step (128th notes)
- 7 levels of velocity of the trigger pulses (0-10V)
- 80us – 1 step adjustable trigger/gate length
- Session mode: record patterns quantized to substeps or 16th notes
- Program sequences in step sequencer mode
- Fingerdrum beats live (also on velocity sensitive pads)
- Global and per channel shuffle
- Program shuffle patterns: define which steps will be shuffled
- Switch between patterns instantly or chain up to 64 patterns
- Set the BPM from 0.5 to 400
- Set clock divider and clock multiplier on clock input and output
- No deep menu diving, tailored for live performance
- Store and recall 64 snapshots of all 64 scenes on USB drives
FEATURES IN FIRMWARE UPDATE V1.2
- Polyrhythmic and polymetric mode
- Any pattern length possible from 1-64 steps
- 8 levels of humanising microtiming
- 8 levels of humanizing dynamics
- 8 levels of custom swing presets per channel with fine adjustment
- Swing of the internal clock from -99% to +99% (also clock out swings) swinging period from 1 microstep to 3 steps (24 microsteps)
- Ducking/choking matrix (allows sidechain compression of triggers and linear drumming)
- Night mode color scheme (on controllers with RGB color pads)
- Save clock settings per clock source (changing source changes also clock multipliers and dividers)
- The clock divider/multiplier changes musically on down beat if sequence is running
- Turn on/off velocity sensitive pads (on Launchpad Pro, Launchpad X, Launchpad Pro Mk3)
- On Launchpad Pro and Launchpad Pro Mk3 (on the TRS MIDI in and out connectors):
- MIDI trigger out
- MIDI clock in/out
- MIDI transport in/out
- USB MIDI to trigger converter mode: all class compliant USB MIDI devices are supported
- USB noise free: if the connected USB device is self powered or powered using a simple USB power/data+power splitter, Triggerpad will not connect the module’s power to the controller
- Improved trigger timing (less jitter)
- Improved external clock following
- Improved workflow and LED signalisation
FEATURES IN FIRMWARE UPDATE 1.3
- Divide any step in 1 to 8 microsteps
- Stretch sections of a pattern on a grid with a different division
- Improved workflow when chaining scenes
