A Eurorack module that combines digital and analog technologies, offering a "harmonic all-in-one" FM synthesis and wave shaper packed with every possible harmonic generation technique.
Whether you peer into the digital negative space at the end of the line by passing through zero, or venture into the complex parallel world of the wave shaper’s mathematical functions and equations, you can generate a wide range of sounds—from simple, beautiful sine waves to complex harmonic tones and driven sounds—through linear and intuitive control.
Features of the DIGITAL Section
A through-zero FM synthesizer equipped with a harmonic synthesis engine powered by DSP programming. The feedback slider allows for linear control, ranging from simple sine waves to a wide variety of harmonic sounds.
Equipped with modulation CV and an attenuator for Frequency Modulation (FM) and Phase Modulation (PM).
Features a wealth of patch points, including 1V/Oct input, Feedback/Wavetable CV, FM CV, PM CV, SYNC I/O, and FM+PM OUT/FM OUT.
Experimental digital processing, such as LFO, bitcrush, and feedback control via wavetables, can be configured via DIP switches.
Features a reference voltage regulator with a voltage error of less than 0.1%, the same type used in high-quality professional precision testing equipment, ensuring a precise and stable design.
Features of the ANALOG Section
Equipped with two independent channels: the DRIVE channel, which allows for versatile analog distortion control, and the FOLD channel, which generates harmonics via a wave folder.
The sound from the DIGITAL section can be routed internally as-is, enabling semi-modular standalone operation.
The BLEND function allows you to crossfade the two channels, and with the expander, you can mix external inputs, CV control, and the dry signal into each channel.
The SYMMETRY attenuator sets a positive or negative voltage offset relative to the input waveform, generating edgy, distinctive, and aggressive waveforms.
The DRIVE channel allows you to create a wide variety of drive sounds using DIP switches to select between DIST and OD distortion tones, as well as a compression function.
The FOLD channel features a 5-stage wave folder controlled by FOLDTYPE, enabling a wide range of sound design, including Serge and Buchla-style harmonic textures.

EXPANDER
BANDERSNATCH offers an optional expander unit that, when attached to the main unit, unlocks a variety of additional features.
A slider and blend CV control that allow you to crossfade the blend between the DRIVE and FOLD channels of the Wave Shaper. By switching modes, you can route the original signal to both channels, allowing you to use it like a DJ mixer. Additionally, inputting any waveform into the WAVE FBK jack triggers feedback in the internal wave-folding circuit, generating aggressive and chaotic sounds.
